Acer Computer March 22, 2010 Ziggy (Utah, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought this laptop for our 10 year old daughter for her birthday. I'm not overly impressed by the speed - it seems slow and takes forever to load the internet, etc. Just assumed it would be more comparable to our other laptops.

This thing does not work. Start up time 15-20 minutes. Cannot multi-task. Graphic display awful. Locks up constantly. Loaded with junk ware. Cannot meet basic computer needs. A true bomb...DO NOT BUY!!!!
Honestly, better than I hoped to get. January 7, 2010 grnman82 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I purchased this I had planned on using this sparingly and getting a full-size laptop eventually. Now? I will save the money and use it for different things because this little machine is amazing. I will say, the machine is fast with the 1 GB ram it comes with but do yourself a favor, if you are an adult and will be using this regularly, buy the 2 GB RAM upgrade. It's a couple little screws, pinch the tabs on the card and pop-out the old and in with the new. This machine runs wonderfully and is quiet as well. The screen is crystal clear and, if you take care of your possessions, you will have no problem with this little guy running for a long time. I did not load a lot on here because I use it for school and in my cruiser at work but I never have to wait for uploads and I do watch Netflix movies on here and never get interrupted with service messages or what not. Great buy and an amazing investment.
Best purchase yet! January 7, 2010 Beverly R. Noyes (Denver) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am so happy with this netbook. The battery life is amazing and it handles just like a full sized lap top. I highly recommend this product. I haven't had any problems with it. I wish the sound/speakers were better but, an ear bud solved any issues.
Very Poor Service & Warranty on Acers December 26, 2009 P. Kelly (NJ, USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I purchased an Acer Aspire One AOD250-1580 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 7.5 Hour Battery Life. After just 3 weeks the computer developed power issues. It wouldn't hold a charge or even start up. It took me a week of daily e-mail exchanges just to get a phone number for the Acer service people. Then after another week of phone exchanges & a new power cord, I was told I'd have to mail my computer to Acer for repairs AT MY EXPENSE! There are no local Acer service centers in the US, so I could not take it in personally for warranty repairs.
